Last weekend, I watched an anime called "Kimetsu no Yaiba" on a video streaming service called Netflix.
It's also available on Amazon Prime.
There are 26 episodes in total, each episode is 23 minutes long. The time needed to watch them all is 598 minutes (about 10 hours).
"Kimetsu no Yaiba" is a very popular animation in Japan right now.
This animation is based on the manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump". It is so popular that people line up in front of bookstores on the day the original manga is released. Currently, 21 volumes of the manga have been published. It has a total circulation of over 80 million copies. The series will be completed in May 2020, but it's still going to continue to be very popular.
There are also a number of collaborative goods with various companies. The recent collaboration with the kaiten-zushi chain restaurant "KURA Sushi" is said to have attracted the largest number of customers ever, despite the fact that sales in the restaurant industry have fallen dramatically due to the effects of the coronavirus. この物語は、日本の大正時代(1912-1926)が舞台になっています。
